For the past two years, I’ve been living in Miami, working at The Community as a Creative Director for the Verizon account, the agency’s biggest and most important client. During my time here, I helped lead their rebranding: we moved away from the stiff, boring, overly technical, promo-heavy language and leaned into a more comedic, dynamic, and cooler style of communication. And it worked—so much so that we even convinced global reggaeton star J Balvin to leak his phone number live during a Super Bowl commercial.
In 2016, I left Buenos Aires after accepting an offer from BBH NY, where I spent four amazing years—some of the best of my life. I always say I would have never left my beloved hometown for any city other than New York, and of course, for the opportunity to make a dream come true: writing and shooting a PlayStation commercial. Luckily, it ended up being more than just one.
Between BBH and The Community, I took on a pandemic gig, working remotely as an ACD for Mullen Lowe LA, where I helped co-create and produce their La Vida Más Fina campaign, featuring Snoop Dogg and SNL star Andy Samberg.
Before moving to NYC, I earned my stripes as a senior creative copywriter at Ogilvy Buenos Aires, where I created some of the most awarded work of my career, including a Titanium Lion in Cannes 2015 for The Beer Tooth Implant campaign for Salta Beer.
My first steps in advertising were at DRAFTFB Buenos Aires by the end of 2011, fresh out of ad school. As an intern, the pay was basically nonexistent, but they made up for it with wild happy hours and free cab vouchers. On one of those cab rides, I came up with an idea that ended up becoming my very first TV campaign: “Somniferous People” for Piero mattresses.
It’s been quite a journey since then—and I have a feeling that it’s far from being over
